Artists at heart. Producers by trade.

Music curation, festivals, fashion and art de vivre: a lifetime of making style and culture for the public. Now we create events for companies and brands, and the marketing that fills them.
Led by Jean-François Ponthieux and creative director Yeojin Bae.

What we do

We create the event. And we fill the room.

Start here. Or anywhere.

Filling the room

The marketing is half the job.

An event only works if the right people turn up wanting to be there. We plan the campaign with the event, and run it ourselves. Hand us the brief, or build it with us.

Who we are

Small on purpose.

Portrait of Jean-François Ponthieux
FounderJean-François Ponthieux

Jean-François started in music: he co-created Australia’s first internet radio station with Channel 7, Telstra and Microsoft, and earned a gold record for Radio Havana. In 2005 he launched the So Frenchy So Chic series, which went platinum, and in 2010 turned it into a festival he ran at his own risk for fourteen years, for more than 120,000 guests. Along the way came the Bastille Day Soirée, Le Grape Escape and the Carlsberg Beach Club, a national finalist at the Australian Event Awards 2026. Concept Cartell now brings that art de vivre to companies and brands. The person in your first meeting is the person on site.

Yeojin Bae seated on a sculpted wooden chair
Creative directorYeojin Bae

Yeojin spent three decades in fashion, half of them under her own name, with sharp tailoring and bold dresses that landed in leading department stores. Then she took the frame off, switching from styling wardrobes to styling worlds: the Carlsberg Beach Club, the So Frenchy So Chic music festival, a wellness experience for Wanderlust, plus photo shoots, brand activations and merchandise that people actually keep. She doesn’t decorate a space; she directs it. A qualified Vedic meditation teacher, she stays calm when everything is moving fast, and knows the best experiences are felt, not just seen. Concept, colour, light, calm. All hers.
